I just don’t see how it can be effectively taxed like an import though. It would be tough. There’s no customs border from the internet. All of these companies already position themselves as euro with euro entities and euro billing and IP and data centers sitting in Europe. So they’d have to go up the chain to force everyone that has a US beneficial owner to disclose that. And even after that there’s ways around it, joint ventures and so on.
