You're a motherfucking idiot. Adderall = mixed amphetamine salts, which have existed in one form or another since the 1930s. One of the salts (dextroamphetamine sulfate) has been sold under the trade name Dexedrine for 60+ years. We actually know a fair amount about how patients behave with regards to long-term *prescribed* amphetamine use - some narcoleptics have been taking amphetamines of one type or another for decades - and for the most part, there is little evidence that any major long term 'damage' happens anywhere in the body from the use of these substances *in reasonable doses*. |

From what I've read, going off it temporarily lowers your tolerance, but as soon as you start using again, your tolerance shoots back up at a faster rate than which you first developed it.

This is an anti-abuse measure because the lysine portion has to be removed by your liver for the dextroamphetamine to be 'activated', so to speak. So snorting Vyvanse doesn't get you high in the way that snorting Adderall would.
A bonus effect of the Vyvanse formulation is that the liver removes the lysine at a highly controlled rate, which gives you an extended release effect. |
