Was up to 250 jr year of college. Spent a year in So Cal between LS and college. I was 190 by the time I started LS, and hover between 200 and 210 right now as a 2L.
I workout 5x a week, eat whatever I want but generally avoid crap like fast food, soda and putting salt on my food. I have tons more energy, and am 1000x happier than when I weighed 250. The happiness may change in a year when I wake up with 150k in debt from LS, but for now life is good bro.
EDIT: After seeing all the twinks below weighing in at 150 and 160, I think I should mention that I'm 6'4" so ~205 is ideal.

Yes. There are literally zero downsides to losing weight. When its gone, you will not give one modicum of a shit about drinking less/eating less the previous months.
Clothes not only fit better, but you can buy nicer shit and look like a bad ass. You have more energy and you are more confident in daily interactions. It is a waterfall effect. Everything gets better, and because of that, everything gets even more better.
Being fat is ridiculous and its not that hard to lose weight.

Yes (25) but then over the course of the next year I gained it all back. Currently trying to get back into my good habits to lose it again.
I probably lost it too quickly (2.5 pounds a week on average). Routinely went to bed hungry

went from 200 to 160 over a 5 month period in 2009. only to balloon up to 200 again the next year. then went down to 170 the next summer only to go up to 190. currently at 180 for the past 2+ yrs
EDIT: when I was at 160 i felt fucking awesome. clothes fit well, women noticed me (i'm short and average looking at best), and i just felt great. being at 200 isn't that much different than being at 180, at least for me. i REALLY need to get down to 160 or under that was fucking awesome

I did it twice:
Age 17: worked out like a mofo, only ate white meat and chicken broth. I did it as a bet with a friend. In theory I bet I lost a lot more since I gained a ton of muscle. I had more energy than I knew what to do with. Shit was rad and my life outlook was super positive. I was a total stoner before, too. Total 180 degree turn. I went from 200 to 165 of muscle.
Age 26: Atkins with light workout + I made a rule to not eat after 6:30PM and limited alcohool. Was pretty decent. Mostly I just ate right (no whites/carbs) and let the ketosis kick in with min physical work (walked maybe 30 mins a day). I felt slender as fuck and just a lot better about myself. At this age you start to go under a bit naturally and it was a big boost especially all my clothes fit again. This was when i was working lot and eating all the food the company gave me. Stopped that and happy. Went from 190 to 170 I'd wager.
I'm 6 foot.
Now I drink more and am happy with my mini-belly but I know I could drop 10 lbs but I'm mid-30's and at this point I say fuck it I wanna drink and eat. I'm 180. That said I think at my height the difference between 190 and 180 is a fat face that maybe some people notice. The difference between 180 and 170 is totally huge you become slender as fuck. I'm basically married tho so wtf let it ride.

Was 5'11 175 lbs after a year of biglaw. I was skinny fat bordering on pudgy. Started riding a bike to work (45 min each way) and lifting 4-5 times a week. I plummeted to 148 after 8 months, with moderate diet changes (alcohol only on weekends, switched to salads for lunch). Now at 155 lbs 16 months after starting, with the difference being all muscle.
It's amazing the difference it made in my overall well being- even for things one wouldn't expect. Without consciously trying, I've adopted a much better posture. Great confidence boost.

I went from 190 to 140 when I moved from Texas to Asia and got on dat healthy eating tip and dat not used to the food so don't eat much of it tip.
biggest improvement other than the obvious fact that my abs were visible was that i slept so much better
the shitty thing was that all my pants would just fall the fuck off without a belt, like there was ZERO way to keep them up otherwise, and i was livin dat poor boy tip, so wasn't going to buy new clothes unless i had to (which i did eventually)

I'm about 5'11, and after law school, I was about 215 lbs (and very pudgy; not much muscle). I was a skinny cross-country runner in high school, and I stopped running and working out during college & law school, so by the end of law school, I had basically put on about 80 lbs of pure pudge.
During clerkship, I started training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu...initially twice a week, eventually working up to 4-5 times a week plus competing in tournaments. I got the weight down to about 195, but I also put on a lot of muscle. By the end of clerkship, I was pretty lean.
During biglaw years, I stopped working out, started eating & drinking too much, and slowly crept up to about 250. When I hit 250 a couple years ago, I freaked out...quit drinking completely, started eating healthy, and started working out. Right now, I'm at about 220...I have a couple drinks occasionally, but nothing like what I used to do. I also work out 2-3x per week, and try to eat well. I want to get back under 200 again, but between work & family it's hard to find time for everything.

I went from 305 --> 220 in 5 months. 6'6" bro here. I went on an extreme weight loss regimen. I would alternate days of eating and not eating.
Day 1: Protein shakes with skim milk and V8 juice ONLY.
Day 2: Veggie juice and Protein shakes and one or two SMALL healthy meals (lean meats, eggs, salads, beans, etc.) Drinking water only.
Not much exercise, just walking.
This was like 2 years ago and I now weigh 230.

Went from about 230 to 180 over a year freshman year of college.
Once I moved out of the house obviously the access to fattening food was a big part of the weight loss, but so was the walking as well as the dining hall food being so fucking bad I was almost on a de-facto vegetarian diet.
Felt fucking incredible - when I wen't back to my city people from my HS class didn't know who I was. Sort of felt like the count of Monte-Cristo in that way.
