yes i did, thankfully.
i didn't study for the LSAT or SAT and did fine. those tests don't require you to learn much beyond your innate ability. you can practice them to improve on certain points, but there is a ceiling. the bar is like the MCAT - pure regurgitation of material. some people who have a decent facility for reading comp, working memory, and quick analysis will nonetheless get pwned by the bar. they won't study correctly, have trouble applying large swaths of memorized info to facts, have low memory ceilings, test anxiety, or will simply draw a bad hand of essay questions and MBEs.
smart people can and do fail every year. more dumbs fail, but i have met my share of HLS and SLS two-timers. i have never met a T6 grad who couldn't get it on the second try, but that's a limited sample. i have met many people from shittier schools who took 3+ tries or just gave up.
