In some cases they intentionally fuck with you, like the requirements some now have to scan your passport using the app in order to generate a boarding pass. It's much faster for them to scan your passport and their kiosks can all quickly swipe your passport to get the necessary information. But they want you to stand in longer lines. This is on top of the $30-50 they charge to print out a fucking boarding pass for you. |

the reason it was created was to compete with the Spirits and Frontiers
While there are two classes of passengers I don't think the delineation is as precise as you think and most people most of the time will just go with the cheapest option or will pay like $30 max more per ticket
