Take Corps with Subramanian. Take M&A with Strine Take Tax with Abreu or Kaplow (if he is giving it) Take Con law with Parker because he cares the least about boring shitty doctrine Take Sec REg in the winter term with Ferrell (Scot sucks ass, avoid him at all costs). Take analytical methods in the spring when the profs teach it all together.
At some point try to work in: Bankruptcy with Warren, secured trasactions, corporate finance, Antitrust, and the other corporate classes. If you are into governance and that crap there are all sorts of seminars on that topic.

In my experience, the young attorneys that are unhappy are the ones who went to law school not really knowing what the hell they were getting into. They knew nothing about the law, had never worked a day in their lives, but the concept of having a 125k job at 25 was appealing. Most people that knew what they are getting into and actually enjoy the law seem to be quite content with their jobs. |
