3L OCI: A firm interviewing =/= firm hiring

For all of those freaking out about how few firms are coming to campus for 3L recruiting (see Texas ATL article), you should be aware that last year 3L OCI had plenty of firms but no one was hiring (at least, this was the case at my T6). Many firms came to campus and had slots open for 3L's and ended up not hiring a single one. From ANY school.
Firms, ITE, sometimes interview 3L's to keep up appearances or get you interested later down the line. Those counting on 3L OCI are in for a WORLD of pain.

Sad, but true. I went through 3L OCI last year at a T10 to change cities and only got one callback with no offer. I had over 15 offers after 2L OCI and an offer from my firm (V10). I don't think a single person from my school got a job through 3L OCI last year.
I can only imagine the massacre this year when more people than ever already don't have jobs and more people than ever will be no/cold offered.
