They're retarded for going to law school despite seeing a huge number of students in the class of 2009 get their offers revoked or start dates delayed, and despite seeing members of the classes of 2010 and 2011 get ZERO OCI offers. No one in the class of 2012 will get a job because of the clogged pipeline of law graduates already fighting to get biglaw jobs from the depths of PUBLIC INTEREST hell. Even people at HYS are getting shut out of the job market. People at Michigan will have to be in the top 10% of their class and on LR to get any CBs. Drop out now before you've thrown your money and life away!
When this OCI turns out to be the worst in history, this thread will bear record of my brilliance. |

and to think, if these people had just delayed law school a few years their prospects would be much better. it's probably for the best that good firms won't be hiring this class of students with poor judgment. |

the class of 2012 is basically made up of the worst of the law school applicant pool. the smart people either deferred enrollment or are waiting to apply. firms should avoid the class of 2012 like the plague. |

Paul Drennan Cravath preferred to hire the "best of the best" and looked to the better law schools for candidates. Graduates were expected to be members of Phi Beta Kappa and have served as editors for the school law reviews. A graduate from a university outside the top 5 was expected to be at least the equivalent of a "B" student at Harvard.
Only new graduates were to be hired, except in extenuating circumstances. The belief was that someone who had worked anywhere else had learned bad habits already. |
