Well, since my last idea (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=1415721&mc=91&forum_id=2) turned out to be a non-starter and I still have no ideas on how to land a jerb, I am moving on to the next idea. Creating my own job for myself by opening my own firm.

Couple of questions:

(1) What are the best practice areas for this type of thing?

(2) How do I avoid becoming MALPRACTICEPWND?

(3) What would the start-up costs likely be?

(4) Does anyone want to join up with me?

There are a lot of different varieties of shitlaw. I need to figure out which one I could learn quickly and be good enough at to make a living out of the gate.

Website can't possibly be the only overhead cost.

how's he going to do litigation without any experience? I work for a firm and get knowledgePWN3D almost every day in litigation matters. SHit that you do not learn in law school, and only learn in practice.

The only new lawyers I know who have started firms and not crashed and burned are people who are doing little bankruptcies.

how feasible is it to do shitlaw in IP, like patent prosecution or copyright/trademark clearance or drafting commercial agreements? i imagine you can really undercut the amounts biglaw firms charge for this shit. the only question is getting clients to trust you with this work.
