Coworker punched me in the face today

So there's this guy I work with in midlaw at a non-NYC location. The office is pretty chill so we crack a lot of jokes. Especially the guy i'm referring to, whose name is Hansel.
Anyways, long story short, the other associates all make fun of this kid too but i think i probably do it a lot more or perhaps he just gets pissed at me more.
Basically I love the movie Zoolander so everytime i see this kid i go "omg its hansel he's so hot right now". I didn't even think of this as an insult but he has told me on numerous locations to knock it off.
Sometimes we play pranks on this kid and once I threw cake in his face while drunk (off-work site at some party, don't ask).
So today we all go to a bar and this kid decides to show up (he comes half the time) so we all start ragging on him. He's obviously not in a good mood today but I didn't think he'd be that pissed. I call him hansel again and say my line and then because i'm buzzed i keep making fun of him and using zoolander references like "hey how's your modeling career" and "the files are IN the computer".
all of a sudden this kid puts down his beer and just hits me in the face. It wasn't that bad and he was instantly pulled away and kicked out of the bar by the bouncers.
I just chilled there afterwards with 3 other associates who saw the whole thing and will obviously tell the entire office. I'm just wondering if I should press charges or tell the office first what happened.
The kid will probably get fired anyways though. |
