The solution to this is how I lost my v-card in early 20s: you find someone who you like enough, but not THAT much. i.e. her looks and/or intelligence DOESN'T drive you crazy, you don't have that tingly feeling in your stomach or whatever that shit is, when you're really attached to someone - you can wait 2 days if she doesn't return your text. But she's nice and interesting to some extent, you have some things in common, maybe majored in same area, that sort of connection. AND there is some minimal physical attraction, so it's not lame. You fuck THAT chick. For practice/to gain some comfort with it, to lessen your performance anxiety - all of that. I went through it, most guys do, if they're virgins anytime after 18. Then you dump her, no hard feelings, she wasn't expecting marriage and you weren't particularly attached.
You can pick up these type of women in most bars or even on campus. I could do this to pick up more women as well I realize (for those following my poasts on this subject) but (1) I have no friends/social life at the moment with school/bar exam studying; (2) I don't really care enough/have low sex drive; (3) I'm not a virgin and therefore having sex soon/NOW isn't of that much importance. However, when I WAS a virgin, and some acceptable chick came along, i just went for it. You have to get past this self-destructive cycle, you're just doing it to yourself man.
