Why is there no SPRING in NYC this year?

Other than that it has either been cold, cloudy, or rainy. Today it was suppose to be nice, but it looks cloudy and possibly rainy. It is almost June and I haven't seen any real spring. It looks like it will just go from shit weather to summer hot humidity where you can't even walk outside for more than 2 minutes.
