All of the fancy-schmancy magazines have errors in them including the New York Review of Books, Harpers, the Paris Review etc. I like to circle the errors and send a copy back to the staff so those snobs get their comeuppance.

I've caught errors in other magazines, but a New Yorker catch is rare. I may just frame the page.

What kind of error? I caught one a few weeks back (online blog, tbf), although it might have been in The Atlantic.

Oh. In the post I read, the author said the Nationals had Bill Murray throw out the first pitch on Opening Day, instead of Pres. Obama. While Murray did deliver the first pitch in the first game of the Nats' season, it was in Chicago, not D.C., and so it wasn't really their Opening Day.

Man I've been wanting to do that for so long after reading the 'Stuff White People Like' entry about grammar. Congratulations.

The Yale co-ed was supposed to catch it.

Then fate intervened.
