Is there a big difference between 160k a year vs 200k a year NYC

Is there really a big difference in these salaries post-bonus? I feel that biglaw is too self hating and there's not that much of a difference.
Why are ibankers always thought of doing models and bottles and not biglaw associates? The extra hours worked and that extra cash doesn't seem to be big enough of a difference, especially if bankers are blowing it at clubs.
mainly the difference is probably the fact that ibankers have 0 loans and biglaw is swimming in debt but if u compare salary only the two professions seem very similar. |

i even gave a high 200k all in first year salary to round up.

No way a first-year associate makes only 70k more. |
