SMU has a rep as a rich kid school, more likely than not that these 3 dudes where pretty well connected from the get go, more likely than SMU Law having any CEO creating factors |

He came from a well off and connected family (not his parents, but a wealthy uncle and other relatives). SMU has a lot of these wealthy or connected southern types. Ditto for Washington & Lee.
