EDIT:
For the idiots who still don't know what Obamacare is, it mandates that the premiums of the young and healthy cannot cost too much less than olds and sicks. The actuarial risk-based cost of insurance for a young health person is cheap. For example I had insurance for 38 dollars a month that covered everything 100% after a somewhat high deductible. This is now outlawed. You will be paying probably over $6k a year right out of your own pocket, just so that olds can pay less. |

The federal government will soon be unable to afford medicare which is why obamacare was designed as a method to introduce new sources of funding (youngs) that take pressure off of medicare entitlement claims, because premiums for olds should go down. Of course, the ACA is structurally flawed in terms of cost control so premiums will rise either way.
And youngs, aside from those with pre-existing conditions, can get insurance now if they want to. It's not like Obama suddenly legalized insurance for young people, ffs. |
