And that's okay because after a certain level you realize that the whole rat race is just a sham and are able to live comfortably on your own terms. It's really pacifying to see things from up higher, to look at how obsessed people are with careers and money and be like "lol...if only they knew".
A simple life gives me more time to focus on my work in my free time, work that I know could make a huge impact on the world if appreciated by society, but that could equally go unnoticed. That's okay though...society doesn't always appreciate innovations until after their originators are gone. It's just something you have to come to terms with. |
