Between accord, camry, etc w/ options and entry level luxury it's usually a difference of 15k miles, 1 year, and $1k.

When the touch screen computer console went out on my dad's lexus it cost 3k to replace all the computer parts. The console controlled a bunch of shit including the climate control system, so until it got fixed you had to put up with the fan running at full blast and no A/C or heat.

Uhh, that's completely false. There are tons of V-6s producing 300+hp and tons of V-8s with 400+ hp now, all with better MPG and without a turbo. I'm pointing out the turbo because your POS Cayenne requires one to get anywhere near 400hp and still only gets 15mpg.

An ECO BOOSTED Ford Fusion could smoke you while getting 18-30mpg.

General rubbish.

Forget the Ecoboosted shit (which usually underdelivers on fuel economy) and make real comparisons. One can often find a 5-7 year old M3 for the same price as a new (and rather overpriced) Taurus SHO. Aside from repair costs (which the Ford admittedly has a big advantage with), many people would find the former to be a more desirable car.

And if BMW isn't your style, you can almost always find decent mid-00s Lexus LS430s with decently low miles for $25-30k. An LS430, even from the mid-00s, walks all over today's average new mid-sized car in too many ways to count. It only probably loses in fuel economy and (to some midsizers) in 0-60 time.

2007 Lexus IS 250: 16.7

vs.

In MFH, you normally don't need a car, and if you are going to keep one, there will some wear & tear (city driving and parallel parkers always bumping it), so its probably better not to have a car that costs so much to maintain and repair.

You might keep it in a garage, and not park on the street normally, but at times you will use the street unless you want to pay money everytime you want to park the car somewhere for an 30-60 mins.

Also, pls advise on a non-Harlem garage charging 160/month.

Honestly, I think USED entry-level luxury cars are a horrible value, esp with the sweet lease/ finance deals you can get on a new one.

The best values imo are found one-level up on slightly under-appreciated "luxury" brands. I think a used Infiniti M35 is one hell of a value.
