titMFcr.
In ATL EVERYBODY has a fucking Infiniti or Lexus. Not to mention that you can lease the vehicles and the average person won't have a clue.
"WOW! YOU MUST BE DOING WELL, YOU BOUGHT A BRAND NEW BMW 7.50Li!"
In my tertiary city, nobody gives a fuck about that. The only people you see driving luxury vehicles are the olds.
Hell, my Judges don't drive that shit and lord knows they can afford it.

General rubbish.
Forget the Ecoboosted shit (which usually underdelivers on fuel economy) and make real comparisons. One can often find a 5-7 year old M3 for the same price as a new (and rather overpriced) Taurus SHO. Aside from repair costs (which the Ford admittedly has a big advantage with), many people would find the former to be a more desirable car.
And if BMW isn't your style, you can almost always find decent mid-00s Lexus LS430s with decently low miles for $25-30k. An LS430, even from the mid-00s, walks all over today's average new mid-sized car in too many ways to count. It only probably loses in fuel economy and (to some midsizers) in 0-60 time.

Not if they are 1-2 years old.
Shockingly, the price for used BMWs and Audis plummets around year 5 when the warranty runs out and evens out closer to the price for used Toyotas and Hondas.

Repair and maintenance makes cost of ownership higher though.
Now CPOs can be worth it if they throw in maintenance.

Demonstrably false.
From Edmunds:
2007 Acura TL: 17.5
2007 BMW 3: 16.9
2007 Lexus IS 250: 16.7
vs.
2007 Camry: 10.4
2007 Accord: 10.2
2007 Fusion: 8.8
2007 Sonata: 7.7
Not even considering all the additional gas and maintenance.

Honestly, I think USED entry-level luxury cars are a horrible value, esp with the sweet lease/ finance deals you can get on a new one.
The best values imo are found one-level up on slightly under-appreciated "luxury" brands. I think a used Infiniti M35 is one hell of a value.
