Miserable if you're planning on doing a long walk, but otherwise I actually like it quite a bit. The clubs and pools are all crowded, but if you're not into the dayclub scene (and I'm decidedly not), it's often a pretty inexpensive time to be out there. I've lived in Vegas and the Midwest, and the dry Vegas heat really starts to feel like you live in an oven once you hit 105 or so. The Bellagio fountains and some of the shade from the fountains make the central strip a bit cooler. Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon can get nasty hot, especially in August.
