Date: August 8th, 2012 7:27 PM Author: marvelous swollen gunner Stanford far and away ESPECIALLY if you're an outdoor person (a drive away from Tahoe, half moon bay, run around scenic campus and the DISH, hot springs near big sur, a drive away from joshua tree) - there's also the general qualify of life argument (weather + intermingling with fellow non-law grad students due to the dorm structure). There's also no dropoff in prestige if you stay in the west coast and your connections on campus might help later on (especially with start ups). Minor drop off in prestige on the east coast (but still better than the other t14s outside of HY in NYC - third largest amount of Stanford alums live in NYC). Plus Boston winters suck (although their bar scene does blow away Stanford's).
Bonus: the football program no longer sucks ass and you'll forever have a DI team to root for. |
