It's not necessarily about being offende. I think that we should want people to be healthy, and it's dangerous when parents teach their children bad habits. Do you think that children who are raised by the Honey Boo Boo mom are going to have a healthy diet? I doubt it. This is a big cultural problem and it needs to be addressed.
And yes, people did feel the same way about smoking. That is why so many anti-smoking laws have been passed.

In the first demonstration of its kind, the crowd of approximately 50,000 activists gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial to protest alleged discrimination against obese individuals across the nation.
Martin Tonne, chairman of Weight Rights USA, spoke to the crowd and invoked themes heard in previous civil rights movements.
"People of size are no longer going to stand in silence as we are mocked and ridiculed. We are no longer going to look the other way when our rights are trampled," Tonne said.
"The fierce urgency of now calls upon all people of size throughout America to claim those rights and privileges that have been withheld from us for so long," he added.
As the evening progressed, a line of activists stretched for over a mile as a buffet table was set up near the entrance.
