It's so unnatural. Them trying to act all corporate. I can just picture them stuck at some table chalk full of customer service reps, all of them afraid what their supervisor will think if he is listening in on the conversation just so they can make $8 per hour. It's depressing.

yeah it does suck when you think about it, but at least they are probably in a decent size city. unlike ARE country types that you only encounter on road trips when you stop by a Hardees to see 50 year old white women at the cash register which is a completely cultural shift from the indian or mexican you might see in a bigger city

i think a lot of U.S. customer service reps are in the middle of nowhere like in the south and shit. they just buy up cheap warehouse space and throw them in there.

i feel worse about customer service reps cuz they are usually young and on their first or 2nd job. you can tell they are nervous about sounding corporate and protecting the company. it's like you are witnessing their change into a normal office drone, something unnatural.

I had to call Chase and Citi yesterday for CC stuff and the reps both started off by telling me they were in Missouri. Not sure where in the state.

Have to say their customer service was pretty good and casual. With Chase I didn't even have to go through a machine to talk to somebody.

14 per hour sounds high for customer service reps. a lot of them come from temp agencies and shit.
