I sat down, was chilling, and she started talking to me. She was going on about her life. Turns out she is/was a heroin addict, got arrested for some stuff, generally fucked up life, drunk, never went to college (in spite of being in a school where 95% go on to college). She seemed really sad. Said she lived with her family is a very nice part of town. Mother teacher, father doctor etc. only child. I was like ok, sorry lady. Then she said she had learning disabilities and was adopted. I thought to myself, "figures" and thought of all the other adopted people I know who are various types of fucked up. Indeed I know of cases where the dad is 6'3. mom is 5'8, son is barely 5'8.
