The drive is "shirt-pocket-sized" and like 6 ounces. It's also powered on USB alone.
Obviously, there's huge markup there compared to a vanilla IDE harddrive in a cheap enclosure, but I'm gonna say $100 for a mini HDD in a nice case isn't horrible.
Check the prices on comparable drives (from "table of contents" on the right) to see that he probably did get a deal.
