If you work in downtown SF or SOMA, and you live near your job then you can get around on buses or just walking. There is a little light rail subway on Market St but other than that the trains travel on roads, stopping at red lights, so they're really no better than buses.

D.C. Has pretty good public transportation for amikkkka. Chicago/NYC is probably the best out of any big city tho

DC's Metro is permafucked due to years of terrible management and is fundamentally unsafe

Lots of millennial faggots don't have cars in DC. I think ive read its #2 in the country for people chosing to not have cars.

If you live in the central part of D.C. It's retarded to have a car. Can walk pretty much everywhere and have cheap public transit/uber if I can't. Having a car would cost $300 a month just to park in my neighborhood and I wouldn't even use it

it's been particularly bad the past couple months. I can't use it from next week until like thanksgiving because safetracking is closing some of the stations on my part of the line.

DC Metro sucks but is still at least better than relying on a car.

metro is decent for short skips in town if you live in town. relying on it to get to a job where you have to be somewhere at a particular time coming from VA or MD is retarded and will get you fired.

uberX is pretty much the same price now anyway
