Date: February 20th, 2018 2:58 PM Author: Passionate copper range I'm working with a friend/client on this. He has a lot of experience in the industry, pretty good academic credentials (i.e. he's not dumb and isn't just a design or merchandising major), and comes from a grounded UMC family.
It's a lot different from most of the SV-type software startups that I see. It takes a lot of capital to get started -- he says at least seven figures. There are inventory and supply issues. The sort of BS issues you have to deal with in retail (employees, retail customers, etc.). Dealing with PR, trying to get buzz and have an image, doing "pop-ups" and that kind of thing. He's worked his ass off on this. |
