This post is to set the record straight about "Arkan." Apparently some posters still think he's joking, or shtick, or an alt of a well known poster. Incorrect. He is the real deal: a crazy as fuck psycho who is an active threat to your IRL. I'm writing this to warn you and provide details about him.

I have done my best to cross-check my claims with multiple sources and independently verify them whenever possible. I am 100% sure that the following is true, at least in broad strokes.

1) Who is Arkan?

"Arkan" is an unemployed, severely mentally ill man who lives in the vicinity of Houston, Texas. He amuses himself by spamming message boards and stalking people online.

He spent the last few years spamming the EJMR board 24/7, using the same phrases as he does here (talking about rats, ratfucks, spinning, being a landlord, 1000 units, and alternating between claiming to be catholic and muslim). He was banned multiple times but succeeded in evading the bans using proxies and VPNs. Eventually the EJMR owner, "Kirk," figured out a solution involving IP banning and also tracked down his personal info, including name, address, and telephone number.

Once ejected from EJMR, he turned his sights to xo. I don't know exactly when he started posting, but it was at by late last year. He used the moniker "clean white glory of the truth," though currently he posts under "THE NOTORIOUS SIX. FOOT. THREE." His posting can be identified by the "f r e i g e s p r o c h e n" in the email field.

He also ran a few alts, including "Pope Francis," until Rach banned the alts. He may have more, and in particular I suspect he is running at least one quotemo.

He's dumb as shit. However, he is persistent, very curious about the personal information of people posting here, and a mildly skilled social engineer, manipulator, liar, and bluffer. He lacks any moral code or sense of shame. You should not believe a word he says.

He also claims he was sexually abused as a child. I do not know whether this is true. It may be that he's falsely claiming this to generate sympathy. Some relevant posts of his are available in this EJMR thread:

How do we know the guy posting here is the same guy from EJMR? First, because the posting styles and stalking behavior (described below) are identical. Second, because he has admitted it.

He also likes to claim he is 6'3", 230 pounds, and a traditionalist catholic. The first two are certainly false, and given his IRL name I doubt the last is too.

2) Why should you care?

Because he is dangerous to you. In particular, he will gather your personal info and post it here or in tiny chat for his amusement. He may also fuck with your IRL. There is a long history of this on EJMR and also here.

Let me talk about tiny chat first. He's very careful not the break the rules here and confines most of his active stalking to tiny chat and off board email. (He uses truthtp@protonmail.)

Many of us noticed strange behavior in TC by a person named "H" late last year, including a weird fascination with posters' personal info. I can confirm that was Arkan.

Currently, he maintains two identities in tiny chat: "clean white glory" and "francis." Both fish for personal info and ban people who point this out. "francis" gets on mic and has a bad Eastern European accent. "clean white glory" never gets on mic -- because if he did, people would immediately recognize they are the same person.

Arkan has been searching the board non-stop for the past few months and learning as much about every poster as he can. He has done this in an absolutely insane level of detail. For example, he somehow found my throwaway email address, even though if I haven't posted it here in ~2 years. If I search "sharklasers," I have to flip back until a thread from 2015 to find it.

I believe the IP traps that people have noticed popping up recently are him.

Dallas is not exactly Houston. But it's close enough that it makes me suspicious.

Further, there was an incident where a drunk poster got on tiny chat and, in his intoxication, let slip personally identifying information to Arkan. Arkan then used this to attempt to blackmail him into providing a job interview and preferential treatment.

Unfortunately, I can not provide details about the worst things he has done, to protect the identities of those involved. However, I assure you that things took place that would have gotten him banned had he done them on the board. While Rach was notified, he declined to do anything because the actions occurred in tiny chat.

Personally, I believe Arkan has found my IRL identity and intends to use it to mess with me. He's posted a few pieces of information on the board that indicate he either knows who I am or is a very lucky guesser. I'm not going to link the threads to protect my privacy. I also have independent confirmation from a source I can't disclose.

He hasn't done anything to me yet, and I believe it will stay that way (see below). In any case, his ability to affect me is limited. I deal with crazies all the time. However, if it can happen to me, it can happen to you, which means you should be concerned.

In particular, while you personally may not have revealed personally identifying info to Arkan or clicked on any IP traps, if you've been around here long enough, you've probably made several IRL friends from the place. And if those friends use tiny chat, I guarantee Arkan asked them about you. A few little slips from enough people will identify you, even if those people are your friends and don't mean to out you. As I said above, he's a not a terrible social engineer.

3) What now?

Rach won't do anything because the offending behavior takes place off-board. Arkan makes oblique outing threats -- even death threats -- on board, but apparently that isn't ban worthy. He also seems to have convinced people to send Rach unsolicited "letters of support" or else has a bunch of fake emails he's using to email Rach and arguing against banning him. So here we are.

My recommendation? Don't use tiny chat. If you do, make everyone speak a long phrase on mic and ban anyone who sounds like Borat.

Don't provide any personally identifying info about yourself or other posters.

Don't believe a single word he writes. He is a pathological liar.

If he is messing with your IRL or posting personally identifiable information about you, email proof to my throwaway (xosharklasers@gmail.com) and I'll provide you with his PII in return. Also please email me if you have information to provide that is not included here, or if you have any questions or information you would like to be kept confidential.

I do not plan to out him at this time. Though apparently I could do it on tiny chat and not get banned (see above), I don't want to piss off a schizo who knows my IRL identity. I'm not going to provide PII without cause for the same reason.

However, I can't control what others do.
