1. Too many people joined. Right now, as an average looking dude I have 120 matches on hinge and get 3 or 4 a day. A new shiny object is always ready to be unwrapped. Unless things go perfectly on a date there’s no urgency to not meet one of the other 100 chicks. For any semi decently attractive girl on these apps, I image they have thousands of matches.
2. Men took advantage of the lack of social accountability, myself included. We realized that these apps gave us the chance to explore a sexual relationship with zero accountability. Because you had no mutual contacts, there was zero friction to make for an immediate disconnect.
3. Even chicks who are like north of 2 bills have had sex with men the look like Cristiano Ronaldo, which has led to complete delusion as to who is in their league.
Every girl on dating apps has been pumped and dumped at least 10 times. We are talking sex immediately followed by zero contact. the whole thing has turned into a ceasepool where everyone is confident they are gonnna get fucked over.

I chatted with the attractive ones enough to figure out which ones were not total fucking morons, then FaceTimed with a few others. Eventually I settled on some Lithuanian chick. Dressed up nice for the first date and gave her flowers, which drove her crazy. 5 months later we're still together and I'm pretty happy with how it all worked out.
Had I done the usual thing where you act aloof and meet a bunch of randos after texting for an hour, I could not have pulled this off. |

In a SHITLOAD of app and online dating over the past 8yrs I've met maybe 10-15 chicks who would have been really good for me and got shot down by all of them. I think I may fuck myself over by not being flirty and sexual enough with these chicks because I'm gun-shy about blowing it with the rare decent girl who hasn't racked up a massive amount of hookups. My results are much better when I'm just trying to fuck. Not sure if it's a difference in how I act, or maybe the chicks I'm just trying to fuck have questionable standards and the ones I want for relationships are more easily able to see the things wrong with me. But I've had a decent number of instances where the chick is definitely physically attracted, we have a lot of similar interests, we talk a lot before meeting and she seems pretty invested in it, and I get knocked out on the first, second, or third date. ZERO success in those scenarios with the ones I've really cared about. Everyone I've dated for any length of time has been someone I've just sort of liked, fucked on the first or second date, and everything developed around sex.
