even cars sales are going bonkers. a quarter of my friends bought cars this past week. savings rates are at ASTRONIMCAL highs. go long carvana and cargurus. cvna and carg.
it might be a short term rally but keep on it until late august to early september. then we'll see where we are by then. if there's more quantitative easing, i'm staying long. if not, i will sell and have made 50-200% with options easy. |

2) massive disconnect between improving Covid dynamics versus case driven hysteria. note that all media sentiment skews negatively given lib bias. investors bombarded with bad news which is priced in, any incremental good news will rip the market up higher so risk / reward is on your side
3) Copper prices holding firm. for noobs, copper can't be stored as long as other metals so pricing is usually a sign of organic immediate demand and not hedging or friction from supply demand or storing purposes
4) companies becoming leaner than ever, unprofitable capacity being shuttered by banks and capital markets being less hospitable. Bodes well for margin expansion for survivors post Covid. 5) fiscal stimulus impact hasn't been fully reflected and more trillions are sure to come.
6) emerging market currencies acting well
7) 3rd quarter will show massive gdp growth sequentially
8) other than tech and certain defensive sectors, valuations are historically low levels for most cyclicals and small cap names.
9) there will be good news on therapeutics as we progress through the year. vaccine by end of 2020 is pretty high since trump wants to fast track.
10) global coordinated fiscal stimulus
11) fixed income is no longer an asset class – where you gonna put your $ ???
12) the fed stopped buying because the fixed income market is now already tighter than it was before
13) if there is inflation – stocks win
14) if there is deflation – gov’t keeps buying and spending - stocks win
15) if they close down the bars, who cares? They’re not closing EVERYTHING like they did before.
16) They have transmission data now – they know bars are bad but craft stores are ok, etc. |
