I've come in and out depending on what is going on in my life. I do think a lot of the old folks have "graduated" on to bigger and better things.
Back when I started mail call was the attraction that brought me here and just general good content kept me sticking around.
Some of my highlights (in no particular order) of my time here:
- seeing the thread that Gov of NJ is gay and has resigned assuming it was a blank thread and finding out 12 hours later it was real and having numerous other examples of this kind of crazy sh*t i though for sure was blank posts be true - getting tipped off to some awesome sporting events in real time such as the perfect game pitched by that Tigers pitcher (but for the dumb ump that got the call wrong) and the Boise State-OSU bowl game with the crazy hook and ladder followed by the statute of liberty play (with an AP TD run in the middle) - watching the Zimmerman trial during a slow summer at the office
At this point in life i visit less frequently (although WFH has increased that) and like all things in life a little dose won't kill you.
Anyways, that's a long-winded way of saying good-bye and best of luck in life. You will be missed and then forgotten. |

Ah, memories. The bottom line is this. Two things are guiding my decision to resign, a decision that I know is going to hurt some people deeply. First, I just can't post on this board from my judge's chambers next year. Can't do it. Won't do it. Second, I'm convinced that I spend most weeknights having an argument with one or more legitimately disturbed individuals. The RWA stalker emails were very real and LB's real-world efforts to track me down were disturbing if ultimately unsuccessful.
It can't go on. It had to end. Professor Edgar Martinez was my crowning achievement in a board lifetime of characters of varying notoriety. Nothing ever really took off the way PEM did. If he has taught you nothing else, remember this:
