"Until Black trans women and non-binary Latinx bodies are safe, nobody is safe!" yelled an unidentified protester whose tent has occupied the tarmac since last night.
Police efforts to restore order have been denounced as racist, and local law enforcement has effectively ceased operating in the area.
One Black protester was struck by a luggage cart, while another was dragged under the wheels of a 767. She is currently in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
