But there are also a lot of people who use this place as a forum to explore ideas that can't be properly expressed in polite society (even if those ideas are Catholicism). The difference is if someone is out of bounds, that we (if we care; usually no one does) tell that person they are a shithead, and just move on. No one cares. Like in real life. Feedback, not ostracism. Jesus, we put up with nyuug everyday.
And of course the article you are jacking yourselves off to doesn't really demonstrate any 'racist' or 'sexist' thinking on the part of CX12. Either he responded to a post that had a bad word in it or said something not nice about a non-favored class (which, really, read the AZN Megashrew thread and her ring and tell me it wasn't justified). Or that she isn't Asian. Or a (mega)shrew.
I know you fancy yourselves educated critical thinkers. Although not reported by the CNN article, CX12 has a long history of insightful commentary on non-political subjects. Given an adequate time to prepare (and even not really requiring that), Charles would smoke you before any fair audience on any issue.
Finally, consider that at it's root, Charles' crime wasn't what he wrote in some throwaway moment at home or work, it was really not sufficiently concealing his identity. Someone with a better sense of how cancel culture would evolve post-2014 would not have done that. Is that really a better world for you and your children to exist in? Do you really want to finally have a conversation about [xxx], or just ruin people who don't fit your education-industrial complex approved opinions?
That said, I know you autists are legion and know SQL/JSON. Please do not ruin my existence with my doting wife.
