For Marxism, it is the powerful bourgeoisie capitalists vs. the powerless workers.
For CRT, it is the powerful "white males" vs. the powerless blacks/browns/yellows/women/LGBTQA.
CRT assumes all white males are born with some sort of privilege. Their position is that due to "racism", the outcomes in our society will forever be skewed in favor of white men. They believe the only way to fix this imbalance in power is to use the government to redistribute resources and power away from all white males and toward their preferred group. There are a few problems with this theory, but the first is that white males aren't all powerful in our society. Yes, there are some elites at the top of the pyramid who perpetuate themselves (Jews are a great example of this), but Joe Six-Pack in West Virginia doesn't have any more privilege in our society than the George Floyd's of the world. The difference is that the Floyd's commit crimes at a higher rate and so are at higher risk of violent clashes with the police. The second problem with the theory is that it rejects the role of genetics/natural ability/DNA in societal outcomes, but only in very certain circumstances. They rail against black/brown representation at HYS, but don't seem to question white representation in major sports.
You can deny it all you want, but Dems have embraced CRT in many of their platform policy positions. |
