They do believe JC is son of God, but not part of a trinity. |

So I guess that’s a key difference between JW-ism and mainstream Christianity. Mainstream Christians want to go to heaven. Most JWs want to live forever on paradise earth. |

I'm hardly a JW expert so the nuances about when they think it does die and when it does not is something i am ignorant about. What I do know is that they believe in some instances that the soul dies with the person which is simply wrong.
I would add something else to that heuristic: If you have to start changing words and shit in the bible to match you beliefs in contrast to what has been circulating for over a thousand years. This would apply to Luther as well. |

Basically it's all about the Bible. The belief that we are in "end times" The only way to be one of the 126,000 who get to heaven is to live a "good" life, do regular bible-study, and go door-to-door once a week. They don't really speak about the 126,000 thing openly, though.
There are no special days (birthdays, holidays, etc)
Some will drink in moderation, dance, party and have fun. But there is no pre-martial sex. Swear words kept to a minimum. |
