Probably CA because it's so much bigger and because only the Miami / Boca / PB areas of florida have a lot of NY transplants.

"New York style" probably has a negative connotation in California, which has more of its own culinary and cultural sensibilities and sees itself as a rival to New York and the east coast.
Calling something "New York" wouldn't be a selling point there. Florida being east coast is still in the extended orbit of NYC, and NYC has more prestige there.
