Philly isn't as stabby as other mid-atlantic cities, contra xo, but it is pretty boring. Do the touristy shit like italian market, walk from where you're staying to the city hall area once, go to the museum if that's your sort of thing (awesome medieval collection). Take the walking tour and spend some time at the sites. It’s a great place to walk around and just see cool old important sites. If you like less bustle go south to society hill. The rittenhouse area is good for walking around too. Schuylkill trail/Kelly drive/museum good for a run. Yes, you should run the steps. Art and Mutter museums are great as is the Constitution Center.
