very good, i read it when it came out.

if you like joy division/new order at all, peter hook's books about JD and NO are a MUST read. even if you don't like their music they're entertaining reads. the NO book is massive, like 700 pages and he dishes all kinds of shit on his former bandmates. i've read that one three times.

i love bios/autobios of musicians and actors. i read them even if i don't care for (or even dislike) the person. they're just interesting stories.

i remember the sammy haggar one being pretty good and lol at that faggot, i hate his music and his overall bro dude demeanor.

The Sammy Hagar one is great and I don’t even like Sammy Hagar.

Johnny Marr’s autobiography is great too. Especially if you read it back to back with Morrissey’s. Marr is so good-natured and doesn’t say a bad thing about anybody, and Morrissey is…Morrissey. Weird how those guys don’t seem that old but they grew up in Manchester coldwater flats with outhouses in the backyard.

Paul Stanley’s autobio is probably my favorite. He’s such a pissy little bitch, talks shit about everyone and everything. Tremendously entertaining.

It’s called Face the Music. You will either love it or hate it. He spares no one, talks shit about everyone. Not even minor people in Kiss universe are safe—he tells a completely unnecessary story about Vinnie Vincent that sticks with me to this day, even though Vinnie is a major weirdo who really doesn’t need more negativity. You can definitely tell he wrote it himself, cause no ghostwriter could be that petty.

I have this one coming in the mail today. Probably 50/50 autobiography and coffee table book, but I flipped through it at a store last weekend and it was fascinating (especially for a guitar and gear nerd like me). by Jimmy Page himself
