i eat healthy during the day but when things get stressful i find myself waking up in the middle of the night with intense, uncontrollable sugar cravings. i take a huge dose of benzos before bed to control panic attacks and i seem to lose all sense of self-control when i wake up to eat because of the benzos. i also fall back asleep before i finish eating.

three nights ago i woke up and ate some old hard candy i found in the kitchen. i fell asleep with candy in my mouth and woke up with a big sugar/drool stain on my pillow and sheets. had to do laundry.

two days ago i woke up and ate some mint chocolates i got as a gift recently. i woke up with chocolate on my sheets. laundry again.

last night i woke up and really went at the fucking chocolate this time. i don't know how much i ate or what the fuck happened but when i woke up there was chocolate literally everywhere -- pillows, sheets, comforter, my face, arms, chest, back, etc. so much fucking chocolate. i simply washed off the chocolate and did laundry again.

it wasn't until a few minutes ago that i realized how absurd and hilarious it was that i literally woke up as a fucking chocolate-covered monster this morning and just cleaned up and went about my day as if nothing unusual happened.

this is a sign that your benzo dose is way too large and that it's time to cut out stressors in your life. talk to a doctor asap about reducing the benzo dosage safely.

write down everything that stresses you out and all your unhealthy habits. eliminate all stressors that you can and start chipping away at bad habits and/or replacing them with good habits.

one weird trick: throw away all sugary and unhealthy food in your kitchen and you'll stop eating junk at night.

the candy left tangible remains, but what else might you have done in your benzo haze?
