i've always felt that if you cull SY's catalogue for great songs, you'd have like 4-5 great albums, which ain't nothing to be embarrassed about. and their run from daydream nation - dirty was pretty awesome (and it extended, really, through washing machine). although even those albums are not ones that i put on and play in full very often.
i think there's a comparison to be drawn between them and VU, whereas VU put out its 4 albums' worth of great songs consecutively on 4 LPs. SY did this over like 30 years or however long they were around. both very influential though.

OKC - genius
Kid A - genius but you have to musically advanced to understand it. Not for normies.
Amnesiac - B sides from Kid A sessions. Some brilliant songs mixed in with some crap
HTTT - Some great songs and some shitty ones. The great ones are worth it though.
In Rainbows - genius if you don't get it you're musically retarded
TKOL - self indulgent garbage but subjectively I still like it
A Moon Shaped Pool - this album sucks and only stupid people say it's good. They didn't even finish it and they ruined some classics. A lot of retards rep this one for some reason I will never understand. |

well actually my other complaint is that he cancels around 50% of his shows. i've started just disregarding news that he's going to play bc i figure he will cancel. i last saw him in december 2017 in DC though and he was great. |
