For those that have lived in MFH - at what point did it get old?

when you're at the age of attending lots of moving-away parties
then you know it's time to leave.

For those who are successful it never gets old
But this is the irony of the city. You will hardly ever get wealthy enough to experience its fineries (or you'll never have time) if you work for a living
The "escape" from the hell of wagecucking is having enough in 3-4% dividend yields to sustain you for rest of life
But you will never get that from any income deferred vehcile. And you will never own much of note in MFH if those are your "retirement plans"
Too many people need an awakening that they are middle class and need to be whipped into it. MFH is that whipping post. It strikes, hard, fast and lithe against one's flesh
Just step outside and see the filth of the world. That will tutor you better than any "therapy" that you better get back down and push papers like a good slave
MFH puts front and center how servile our existence is. Every person MUST be working for someone else. It is absolutely incredible from a globohomo perspective how much it beats down everyone and everything that lives in its orbit
That was how Donald Trump was forged
Remember that

it doesnt make sense for an entrepreneur to live in MFH. but you can maek it without being a billionaire.
consider some bachelor bro who lucked into a 5m inheritance or windfall. he could buy a nice 2m condo, save the rest, and get a bullshit 150k job (im sure there are many in NYC) and have a pretty swell time imo. what else would he do, live in rural midwest because its a lower cost of living? lol

Whatever issues NYC has, it doesn't even really compare to the horror show that is your life.

when i wanted to stop drinking / could no longer process alcohol like a young man
There was some night, lost to memory, when i could no longer be happy the next day after a night of alcohol. For years it was fine; then it was not.
Thats about when MFH ended for me

I was a transplant with no other connection to the city, but for me it was after about 5 years of grinding. I went home for a family reunion and saw just how many of my high school buddies had “made it” by normal standards: paid off house, wife, kids, multiple years of expenses worth of savings. Despite grinding harder than any of them, I was nowhere close. But the biggest thing was that they had hobbies: fishing, mountain biking, skiing, kiteboarding, etc. In NYC, the only things to do were drink alcohol, try to bang chicks, and watch other people do things (sports, opera, art, etc), but by then I felt too far down the grinding path to turn back.
Luckily I finally made it big during the pandemic. I still keep a pied-à-terre in the city for occasional work and recreation purposes but I have never felt any real urge to return since leaving. The costs are extremely high, there is nothing to actually do there, and it’s crowded.

there is a huge difference in experience in MFH entirely based on housing.
if you get lucky, or have a connection to find a great deal, MFH is 8.5/10. if you dont figure out housing, you could have an identical life and your experience can be a 6.5/10
a lot of the young hot women have daddy (or daddies) paying their rent. thats why they love MFH
