it's not as bad as a dystopia, but there are some serious problems, especially around health care bc of austerity (HCWs had their salaries cut and deflated, leading to a labor shortage, and their salaries still rise slower than inflation) plus brexit led to an evisceration of transportation (tons of drivers were polish, and they had to leave the country, so now moving things around the country is much more expensive and slow)
also for a parliamentary system, they have similar political outcomes as we do: the head of the LABOUR party has eight figure net worth, and the rapetile party is a murderer's row of pinheads that is now run by a nigerian who is a citizen bc of birth tourism like how the head of the rapetile party in the US is an illegal immigrant from south africa
i'll say one thing about the UK and europe that xo severely underestimates is how 180 it feels to know you'll never be rich, but no one else you know will be either, so you can just chill with your homies instead of responding to thank. emails at 12:30am so you don't get chewed out the next morning by a 4'5" unterfuhrer; having a society that actively shits on strivers is incredible bc most people only strive to impress other ppl, not bc they actually wanna oh you travel 24/7 |

the only remaining hope is for someone to create a new party like reform uk or ukip but that is a much steeper battle than taking over an existing party like trump did. |

Date: January 24th, 2025 1:24 AM Author: soggy trip spot black woman the problem for the UK is very acute because the arab population is uniquely ideologically destabilizing, there is basically no space for civic consciousness that can even pretend to embrace minorities (yes an ethnostate is preferable, or at least a state in which true assimilation is aggressively pursued as a norm, but if a country is going to be multicultural it is going to need a state mythology that can deal with them, or else the growing minority cultures will cast themselves as inherently hostile - this was not so of american mythology until libs started calling america colonialist), and there is no executive with a will to confront the problem (unless and until the monarch revives his power as commander in chief). to say nothing of the fact that the US has more physical space and devolved state governments capable of supporting more "traditional" communities for those who choose them. and the UK lacks the global leverage of the US hegemon.
the UK just has no way of dealing with its growing problem. the path for the emergence even of a trump-like figure, to the extent that can be the beginning of a solution, is much more difficult, since individuals cannot co-opt parties a la trump. it's a slow burn to mixed-race communism. in the US the battle at least can still rage. |

English have a much, much, much greater sense of national identity than most countries, let alone the U.S. They like having token representation from the greater common wealth to maintain the illusion that they are still globally relevant. But the idea that the UK will be a fully multi-racial white minority country in the 21st century is silly. And to the extent the goal is to maintain a super majority white population, the most important thing they can do is make it cheaper to be a young family, especially in the 95+% white parts of the country.
