If you're eating the whole thing, or at least the outside (strawberry, apple, blueberry), I don't see the harm and it has to help remove at least a little of the pesticides and fertilizer and God knows what else they spray on our food.
I assume you're not washing bananas or oranges, though it might be interesting to try.

I never did this and then i got destroyed by norovirus and now i do wash everything.
remember this stuff came from literally a dirt field fertilized with shit.
