Date: June 20th, 2025 7:01 PM Author: "'''""""'"' if i had to guess i'd guess that they're trying to sell regime change with a restoration of this middling popularity monarchy to basically force a boots on the ground approach as the most likely outcome of surgical strikes against the regime would be the establishment of a (maybe) slightly pro-american democratic republic, depending on how the campaign was carried out. an invasion to install this guy would put the US in a quagmire type situation that russia could exploit as well as achieving israel's goal of more middle eastern entanglements for the US. i doubt iranians that have already experienced a pro-western colonial regime are going to accept an authoritarian regime without violence. this is all very tricky. i don't read farsi so i can't tell what the actual iranian people are saying about all of this. there seems to be a mix of pro and anti regime content from normal people iranian discourse. |
