You could leisurely do the riding in the cool morning and even walk your bike uphill do you think you could do this for 3 weeks and win? So as soon as you finish each day the clock would start and the next rider to finish is that far behind you. I reckon I could do it with 2-3 hours but I'm a fit guy

the mountain stages and flatland stages are maybe around 5 to 6 hours each?

so I would have about 3 times as long as the actual riders to do them

I think it's feasible but it would be tough, the pace at which those guys fly up a mountain is incredible

Yeah I went to a mountain stage irl and they fucking zoomed up a hill that was tiring for me to walk up and I'm a fit sporty guy especially back them. I think contador set a watts/kg record that day that still stands

Absolutely not.

Not on the flats, where you’d be riding the same distance as them without any benefit of the draft. Sure you’d beat them on a given day, but it would wear on you.

Not in the mountains, where they can sustain a watts/KG for an hour that I could barely touch for a minute.

And most certainly not over the course of three weeks where a single day’s DNF invalidates your whole effort.

I’d absolutely crush their times on the TT though. Make this a spring classic and it’s an easy “yes”

stages are like 100-120 miles. You couldn't average 10mph? The real limiter would be time in the saddle & dealing with saddle sores etc. I guess the average person couldn't do 100 miles on a bike no matter what

If the bet here was “can you win any stage at random” then yes, I’m a cyclist and wouldn’t have much trouble. I’ve even ridden a hilly double century at well above a 10 mph pace. But I’ve also ridden every day for two weeks before and was beat to hell after. I think the strong likelihood is that most people, even reasonably fit ones, crack or get injured in the second or third week.

I'd do half of the stage, take a lunch break where I take a shower and get a massage and change into dry clothes, socks etc and finish the rest. I'd time it so I finish just before the real guys so the fans are there cheering etc

12 hour head start is way, way too much. I'd win most, if not all, stages, winning the race overall by many, many hours.

A couple of the stages are short (10-20 mile) time trials. I'd win all of those by 11 hours and add to my lead bigly.

Some of the stages are flat and "only" about 100 miles. I'd comfortably win those by 8+ hours each. E.g., I finish in a leisurely 8 hours. The real racers finish in 4 hours + my 12 hour buffer = 16 hours.

For the mountain stages, they'd get closer to me, but 12 hours (and being able to walk) is a huge buffer.
