I knew it would just be shrews, beta husbands, and their ugly kids, but I still dragged myself out of bed and drove over. I got there on time but didn't see anyone I recognized and awkwardly got a plate of food that I nearly spilled all over myself. Being an antisocial weirdo, I immediately sensed that many of the others were turning away from me and even shielding their kids from me, which is something I've seen before. The small talk was excruciating ("Can you believe the traffic?") and I was basically sitting alone at one point. I noticed some cute Chads but they were all married and certainly weren't interested in me. I got out of there as soon as I could and returned to my dark bedroom and the comfort of this board.
