(ii) they are basically madnated to have an individual owner so you don't have stockholders or other investors (other than limited partners) who can say no
(iii) many owners buy the team so their kids think they are cool
(iv) where do you think a kid is going to want to "intern" - The Phoenix Suns or his dad's mortgage laon servicing company?
(v) it's not that hard. you just hire the assistant GM or assistant coach from the hot team and had them the reigns. The most surprising NFL coach the past 5 years was Brian Schottenheimer because the Cowboys are unorthodox - and the guy they're "taking a chance on" has been around the NFL for 40 years and coached teh Cowboys own offense at one point. |
