I’m Jewish and have done this for friends who are shomer Shabbas (no electronics). Additionally OP was just making a suggestive comment, no need for harsh reply.

You're allowed to ask goys to do things for you as long as you don't ask them to do it during the proscribed period. Shabbos goys are a thing.

Please don't get all jew cranky if you don't know enough about the ways we've found around the rules.

Actually, not so simple. Amirah Le'Akom (Talking to a Non-Jew for an act of work to be performed on Shabbos/Yom Tov) is only permitted in specific situations and circumstances.

Even if I ask my friend to do something clearly and only that benefits me, on Shabbos or Yom Tov, it would be a potential issue.

There is also the issue of requiring remizah (hinting) or that the non-Jew benefits from the action.

Hence the often-played stereotype of the Jew asking his non-Jewish neighbor to come into the house for some cake and then saying "Wow, it's dark in here" vs directly asking them to turn on the lights.

Dropping off shirts at a dry cleaner you know will not have time to clean them except on Shabbos or Yom Tov is also a problem, even though that might work best for the dry cleaner to perform the cleaning on Saturday.

So in OP's case, asking a non-jew to perform an action such as registering them for the test is pretty likely a prohibited action, as he is asking a non-Jew to perform an action of desecration, which only the Jew benefits from.
