The wgwag thing is historical vestige of an era when some mentally ill megaposters (aznazn/JBD) used to spam the board with threads about wgwag to the point that normal posting was literally impossible. I think people started to give azns some shit about wgwag in connection with that, which spawned some new mentally ill posters like nyuug and UVT, who then generate their own backlash.
The good news is that the wgwag thing is basically a footnote now and we've moved past the aznazn period which was a dark stain on the board and a truly insufferable era. |

This likely shaped their overall perception of Asians. Same thing goes for racism towards blacks. Likely grew up a sheltered life where liberal values were taught to them, then became huge racists within months of moving to some big city and becoming exposed to poor blacks.
