This is rank intellectual dishonesty. Switch 1 sales took 3 years to peak. It sold more in 2022 than in 2017. It sold more in 2023 than 2017.
Switch 1 is like PS1 or something. Early on with PS1 was like “oh look another system, maybe it’ll literally make no impact whatsoever like Jaguar/3DO and then disappear.” It took time to build momentum imo. The fanboy Losers are conveniently overlooking that people were SLOW to embrace Switch 1 because Nintendo had just gone 15 years without releasing a single Game (the time between Melee and BOTW)
Still, New Consoles are supposed to fuckin Sell. Good New Consoles with Games sell a lot their first year. Switch 1 sold more in 2019 (pre pandemic) than Switch 2 did in its first year (or it was close anyway).
