almost like Republicans are fucking retarded about everything and it takes them 2 decades to realize it.

In 2045 they're gonna be like, wow we shouldn't have supported Israel's genocide!

sure, but part of the problem there is that lib heroes like chuck schumer and adam schiff also voted to invade iraq.

what i mean is that democrats/libs could never go as hard as they ought to have gone against the iraq disaster, since so many of them supported it. john kerry and john edwards, for example, BOTH voted to invade, which crippled them a bit in the 2004 election.

We engaged in actual efforts to assist Vietnam beginning in the 1990s. When are we sending cleanup crews to Iraq?

interesting, who was in control of the senate and which party pushed the war? and told everyone they were traitors if they voted against the war?

also, how many republicans in congress voted against the war?

6, compared to 147 democrats in the house and senate. which means that those 111 democrats who voted to invade actually broke with the majority of their own party to support bush.

however, they were never punished or disciplined for this by their own party. instead, many ascended into leadership positions, where they remain today. this made democrats incapable of credibly challenging the iraq war.

I remember thinking the invasion would never happen, because when I went online it seemed like everyone was antiwar. Then it happened anyway and no one IRL gave a fuck. That's when I realized all the opposition was online and none of it mattered.

Libs always act like it was evilness that led to the Iraq war, but it was actually ignorant benevolence.

We thought we'd roll into Afghanistan and Iraq and destroy their evil governments (we did). Then we thought we'd put in a Democracy teach them a legal system, start educating their women, and create a safe prospering country.

Now we know these countries don't want that. They don't want prosperity. They don't want education for their girls. They don't want peace and prosperity.

They want to live in chaos where they stone pregnant muslim women to death for being the slightly wrong type of muslim.

I'll never forget Bush's 2005 SOTU speech where the Republicans dipped their fingers in ink to symbolize the new Iraqi "democracy" that promptly collapsed into chaos:

It was religious fervor. I had enough exposure to the military after a certain point to notice who was getting promoted to General Officer. Supporters of the war constantly made it about Muslims and liberating women from wearing veils. Sorry, you can't lie to me. I still remember.
